Поверхность, перпендикулярная направлению распространения, во всех точках которой электромагнитные колебания имеют одну и ту же фазу

фронт волны
1. Для непрерывной (квазинепрерывной) волны - непрерывная поверхность, соединяющая все точки среды, в которых в рассматриваемый момент времени фаза волны имеет одно и то же значение.
Для волны в виде короткого импульса - непрерывная поверхность, образованная передним краем волны, непосредственно граничащим с невозмущенной средой (см. примечание к термину «фаза волны»).
2. Непрерывная поверхность, соединяющая все точки волны, находящиеся в одной фазе колебаний.
